Salvation Army Ring Bells to Bring In Kettle Holiday Donations
November 22, 2014
The Blue Ridge Mountain Rotary Club volunteered its efforts as bell ringers to bring in money from passers-by in front of the Barnes and Noble store at the Barracks Road Shopping Center.
Public contributions to the Salvation Army kettle helps them to continue their year round efforts at helping those in need who would otherwise be forgotten.
"Giving back to the community and trying to help those that are less fortunate get through the holiday season and let them know that we are here and that we care," said volunteer David Inscoe.
The Salvation Army assists more than four and a half million people during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season.
