Trial Continued for Woman Accused of Attacking Delegate's Wife
Colleen Quigley

Sept. 17, 2014 Claire Ogilvie, the woman accused of attacking delegate David Toscano's wife, was back in court Wednesday. Thirty-five-year-old Ogilvie was scheduled to be arraigned in Charlottesville Circuit Court today, but her case was continued. She faces charges for breaking and entering, forced abduction, and malicious wounding. Special prosecutor for the case Jeff Haislip was not in court Wednesday. Ogilvie was arrested in February 2014, after she allegedly broke into the home of Toscano and assaulted his wife, Nancy Tramontin. In a statement released shortly after the alleged attack, Tramontin said her family met Ogilvie during a Semester at Sea Voyage in 2010. She said Ogilvie developed an "unsettling interest" in the family, leading them to cut off contact with her in 2012. The case was continued for October 20.
