Good afternoon,
Just finished taping Charlottesville Plugged In with our high tech guru, Amy Eastlack. Amy keeps tabs on how local businesses, the government and just plain folks use technology to entertain us, inform us or, every now and then, improve our lives. The segments air on our Wednesday 5 p.m. newscasts and they're always interesting and informative.
Today, Amy told me about the city's website for its 250th birthday. The website offers residents to share their own histories while learning about the growth of the city around them. I hope you'll join us at 5 for that.
Also tonight, Chris Stover is covering the two violent incidents in the city overnight. Carter Johnson is at the preliminary hearing for murder suspect Taybronne White and Rachel Ryan is back from Louisa County with a great story about how Albemarle County schoolkids are reaching out to the Louisa students who are still dealing with the aftermath of the earthquake.
And we'll have the latest on the story first reported in The Hook about Cracker Barrel once again considering opening an Albemarle County restaurant on 5th Street Extended. That might be the subject of our Facebook question of the day, as well.
See you at 5,
Jim
