Good morning,
Travis says our first raindrops should hit Charlottesville in the next hour or so with the potential for severe weather looming. We've got a tornado watch up now and we're ready for whatever hits. Melanie Niemann is coming in to help Travis with Brantley rolling in soon, as well. Photographer Lewis Tingler and me along with reporters Carter Johnson and Frankie Jupiter are ready to go wherever the storms hit. Hopefully, this all moves through swiftly and without much incident but we're as ready as we could be.
Also today, Stephanie Satchell is following up on our story yesterday about the new Head of School at Covenant School. Carter is checking in with more of our local legislators about the Richmond budget deal and what it means for schools. We'll also have Jay James on Faith tonight. Jay is interviewing Charlottesville City Council member Holly Edwards about how her religious beliefs played a role in her decision to not run for re-election. Tara Wheeler has a fascinating look inside the nation's film vault in Culpeper. See that on Charlottesville Tonight at 7. And Stephanie is back with a Hero for 5 and our new segment, What's Going Around, for 6.
Let us know if you see bad weather hitting and send us pictures if you can do it safely.
Jim
