Everyone is speculating about the wedding dress of future princess Kate Middleton. I figured I'd throw out my opinion on what frock she should wear. So... here's my take:
Kate Middleton's style is very conservative and timeless and I think her choice in gown will reflect that. However, since it is a royal wedding, watchers will be hoping for at least a little drama in her wardrobe. I predict her dress will be a combination of contemporary and classic; something that won't ruffle many feathers and will still stay true to her taste but still provide the glamour that's called for with such a grand event. I also think that she will be very conscious about not dressing too similarly to the late Princess Diana since the public is already comparing the two. Diana's gown was gorgeous but very opulent and over-the-top. While I hope Kate's gown is dramatic and fitting of what a fairytale princess should look like on her wedding day, I think it will be much more toned-down than Diana's.
Middleton wears a lot of waist-cinching clothes: belted jackets, wrap dresses, and strategic rouching, so when making my prediction, I take that into consideration. Also, it's part of the royal wedding attire guidelines that the female guests should not bear their shoulders for the ceremony so I chose a gown that would keep her covered up. I see Middleton in a gown similar in style to my all-time favorite princess wedding look:

Here's a more modern version:
A gown like this one would be my pick for the future princess... But regardless of her choice, it's her day and I hope she's ecstatic and feels fabulous! May they live happily ever after!
