Tara's Take: Can't Miss Performance!

There are tons of great shows going on around town this week, but in this economy, who could afford to get tickets to them all? If you have to pick one performance to check out, my vote is the Ray LaMontagne and Brandi Carlile at the nTelos Wireless Pavilion Thursday.

There are tons of great shows going on around town this week, but in this economy, who could afford to get tickets to them all? If you have to pick one performance to check out, my vote is Ray LaMontagne with Brandi Carlile opening at the nTelos Wireless Pavilion Thursday.

I have been a huge fan or Ray and Brandi since my college days back at Penn State. Their raspy, soulful voices make me think of taking a cross-country road-trip with all the windows rolled down.

                              

While I love my job at the Newsplex, the one downfall is that I get to tell you all about the great concerts coming up, but my schedule has me anchoring the news while they're actually going on. So, I'll be getting ready for my TV shows tomorrow night with my ear buds in and rocking out to my favorite Ray and Brandi tunes. If you're like me and can't make it to the concert, I invite you to enjoy them with me... or if you're planning on heading to the show (jealous!) put them on a playlist and get in the mood while you get ready for the night.
