Charlottesville is home to many great entertainers and has seen several home-grown acts make it on the national level. Now one, local music duo has their sights set on a big stage and they need your help to get there.

A local group needs your help to make it to the Bonnaroo Music Festival Stage. Jay Pun and Morwenna Lasko have been strumming, fiddling and campaigning in an effort to snag one of the remaining spots in this summer's line up. Out of over 700 bands in the running nation wide, Pun and Lasko are the only group from Charlottesville and as of right now, they're in the top 20. However, they need to be in the top 8 to be considered for one of the 2 final slots.

"We're mostly instrumental, so for us to do this it would mean more than some of the other bands who have popularity from being a strictly rock band. We blend so many styles that this could take us to the next level," said Pun.

Pun and Lasko met when they were students at Berklee College of Music and have been performing together for the last five years; Pun on the guitar and Lasko on the violin. Pun says he hopes to represent Charlottesville's arts and entertainment scene and make his home town proud.

The duo is the only Charlottesville group in the running to play at Bonnaroo and has until Friday April 15th to get themselves into the top 8.

To vote for them, visit their website: www.mojamusic.net and download one of their songs for free. Your free download counts as a vote and also enters you to win two tickets to the festival.
