It's almost time for the big dance! The SPCA Critter Ball is this weekend and we're putting the finishing touches on our routines and pushing to raise those final dollars for the "critters"! Here's how you can help!

All week long, if you go to any Charlottesville Smoothie King (either Barracks Rd. or on Pantops by the Giant), order a smoothie and mention the SPCA or the Critter Ball, Smoothie King will donate $1 to my dance team's fund raising efforts!

As always, you can vote and donate here as well!

If you can't make it out to the Critter Ball, this Thursday, there will be a dress rehearsal open to the public! The performance will be at Westminster Canterbury (250 Pantops Mountain Road).  It's free of charge and we expect a big turnout! The evening begins with a 30 minute Foxtrot lesson by Lee Santos.  Performances will begin promptly at 8 pm. I'd love to see you all there!

Also, as you may know, the Critter Ball is sold out. BUT there will be a live broadcast of the event at the new and fabulous Commonwealth Skybar and Lounge on the Downtown Mall. The streaming starts at 7pm on Saturday and there's no cover charge. The bartenders there even whipped up a "Critter Ball Drink" which helps raises funds for the SPCA too!

The mirror ball trophy is in!

So far, I'm in last place fund raising-wise, but it's not about winning or losing. I've had a blast learning from Gary Chovan and his wife Donna. They've turned me into a dancer and I thought that was impossible! At the end of the day, it's been an honor to be chosen as a dancer and I'm grateful for everyone who has helped me fund raise and grateful for every donation. As long as we're helping the SPCA's "Critters", I'm a happy camper! Let's keep trying for a final push to raise as much as we can!!! Thanks everyone!!!

My "Critter" motivation: My fat cat, "Sunshine"! Isn't he fabulous!!!???
