On Sunday, March 14th "spring forward". At 2 A.M. Sunday set your clocks forward one hour. This marks the start of Daylight Saving Time. Yes, you "lose" one hour of sleep but the result is longer and later daylight hours. Tip: Since many of use will not be awake at exactly 2 A.M. Sunday, set your clocks forward before you go to bed Saturday night.
Saturday, March 20th is the Vernal Equinox. Scientifically speaking, at 1:32 PM EDT the Sun will cross directly over the Earth's equator. Because of this, day and night are about equal in length all over the world during the equinox. The Vernal Equinox marks the start of the spring season, an astronomical welcome to spring party of sorts.
