This is my very first Mother's Day spent out of the state of Kentucky. My Mom and Grandma will be about 8 hours away, but luckily the US Post Office says their presents will make it just in time! Mom's forecast, back in Louisville, will have her dodging a few raindrops in the AM. If you are a mom here in central Virginia, you will be doing the same thing! We have rain in the forecast as we start the day, but clearing is expected. The rain showers will be scattered through the early afternoon hours. The sun will peak back out, and that will allow our temperatures to soar into the mid to upper 70s. If you wanted to take mom outdoors for the day, looks like your best bet is to wait til the middle of the day.
Alright now for plans (this one is for the procrastinators like me):
-Any vineyard around town will provide beautiful scenery for wine and food (or Chocolate) pairings! ohh lala
-Backyard BB-Q... Who doesn't love the smell of a grill? Especially since the mosquitoes aren't quite out yet!
-Spa Day.. What mom doesn't deserve to get pampered?
That's all I got, so cheers for now and happy Mother's Day everyone!
Melanie
