After some splendid weather on Thursday, weather conditions will soon be changing. A front that has been to our north for the past few days will slowly be sagging southward increasing the clouds Thursday night. As an area of low pressure rides along this front, we will gradually begin to see rain showers increasing by Friday morning. The rain will generally start out light in the morning, but by the afternoon, rain will become steadier. This system will be a fast mover, so the rain won't linger for too long with showers ending during the evening on Friday. Skies will be slow to clear, so the weekend will start out on a cloudy note on Saturday with a few lingering sprinkles.
In addition to Friday bringing rain chances, it will also bring much cooler temperatures. For the past few days, we have had temperatures above the average, but with increasing clouds and an east wind, highs on Friday will be stuck in the 50s. It will be quite a change from the 80° temperatures that we saw on Thursday afternoon! If you're a fan of the warmer weather, just hang in there until Sunday when the temperatures will once again be back near the 80 degree mark.
Plus, they say April showers bring May flowers...
