Cold enough for you?
We continue the cold weekend weather this morning with temperatures in the teens and 20s around the area. A full slate of sunshine will warm us to the upper 40s with some reaching the lower 50s by day's end. Clouds will thicken tonight as our next storm approaches the area. This storm is weakening as it travels, and we'll be lucky if we see a few rain sprinkles through Valentine's Day. The storm exited stage right on Wednesday, opening the skies to sunshine. Temperatures will be well into the 50s for the second half of the week, though a gradual cooldown is expected this coming weekend.
Your stat of the day: yesterday's high of 36° in Charlottesville was the first time since January 22 that our daytime high was in the 30s. Just goes to show you how mild this winter has really been...
3, 2, 1, fade out.
