Despite the warm temperatures last week, we didn't set any record highs in Charlottesville. We came close, but not quite. Look for temperatures to be mainly in the 70s this week. Lower than recent days, yes, but still well above our seasonal normals which should be near 60°.
Rain - we need it. Badly. Deficit for the year so far stands at 1.58". Lack of snow this winter and relatively dry conditions may lead to some trouble this summer if we don't make up for lost time this Spring.
Last item: tomorrow is the statewide tornado drill for all Virginia counties & cities. At 9:45am a test warning will be issued for every location in Virginia through media outlets (including the Charlottesville Newsplex family of stations) and NOAA Weather Radios. It will only be test, but it will also be a good time to make sure your weather radios are working.
3, 2, 1, fade out.
