Last Sunday we ushered in the start of the spring season. Since then, we've had some very warm days, with highs last Monday near 80 degrees. The forecast doesn't look quite as rosy and warm for the upcoming weekend.
The cold front that has helped to spark some thunderstorms Wednesday evening will also help to bring cooler conditions back to Virginia. By the weekend another system will approach the mid-Atlantic and this will increase the cloud cover again and help make temperatures even cooler. By Saturday and Sunday, our highs will have a tough time getting out of the 40s! Occasional showers will accompany the cool weather, especially on Sunday. Even into next week our temperatures look to stay a bit below the average in the lower 50s.
What will this forecast mean for your weekend? What are your favorite things to do on cloudy, cold, wet weekends? I think I can see a big pot of soup bubbling on my stove already....
