Community Counts gives you a chance to learn more about the people and the organizations that have a positive impact on our community. This week we feature the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA Critter Ball.
Scheline Crutchfield joined CBS19's Bo Sykes to talk more about the event, which is scheduled for Saturday, September 25.
This year's Critter Ball has a Beatles theme and includes cocktails, dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions. And back by popular demand is the Dancing with Charlottesville's Stars dance competition. Dancers include Ashley Sieg Williams, Scheline Crutchfield, Ethel deNeveu, Preston Morris Jr. Jacek Wolicki, Keith Woodard and the Newsplex's own Travis Koshko.
The event benefits the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA and will be held in the Smith-Worrell Hangar at the Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport.
