Community counts give you a chance to help you learn more about the people and the organizations that have a positive impact on our community. This week we feature the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, which was recently named the top food bank in the nation.
Friday, we talked to Ruth Jones about focusing on summer feeding and the importance of remembering hunger during the summer.
Jones said that the food bank experiences a major decline in support from the community during the summer, but the need for stocked shelves is still prevalent.
