Community counts give you a chance to help you learn more about the people and the organizations that have a positive impact on our community.
Joining CBS19 this week is Marnie Allen from the Hope House at MACAA.
MACAA stands for the "Monticello Area Community Action Agency" and its goal is to break the cycle of poverty. They focus on low-income, at risk groups with programs like Head Start and Project Discovery.
The Hope House is for families with children who are homeless. The goal of the Hope House is to get those families back on their feet by helping them with managing financial needs like credit reports and bank accounts.
The Hope House will hold their annual Women Who Golf fundraiser on September 28. More information can be found at the event website.
