Community counts give you a chance to help you learn more about the people and the organizations that have a positive impact on our community. This week we feature the "Fill the Boot" campaign, which raises money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Robbie Gilmer, the coordinator of the event in held by the Albemarle County Professional Fire Fighters, joined Bo Sykes to talk about Fill the Book and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Locations include the Bonefish Grill in the Hollymeade Town Center, the Chick-Fil-A on Route 29, the Food Lion on Mill Creek Drive, etc. The campaign hopes to raise $10,000 this year.
If you miss the fire fighters on the roadways this weekend, you can also donate online.
