Community Counts give you a chance to help you learn more about the people and the organizations that have a positive impact on our
community. This week we feature the United Way Thomas Jefferson Area.
Shaele Wood joined CBS19's Bo Sykes to talk about the United Way Day of Caring.
The Day of Caring was established in 1992 by the United Way-Thomas Jefferson Area to promote the spirit and value of volunteerism, increase the awareness of local human service agencies and schools, and demonstrate what people working together for the community's good can accomplish.
Join the UWTJA on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 for the next United Way Laurence E. Richardson Day of Caring.
