Community Counts gives you a chance to help you learn more about the people and the organizations that have a positive impact on our community. This week we feature the Virginia Film Festival.
Director Jody Kielbasa joined CBS19's Bo Sykes to discuss the 2009 Virginia Film Festival and its theme, "Funny Business". The 2009 festival is full of major films and big stars, but there is also a clear focus on the Charlottesville community and local filmmakers.
One of the highlights for the whole community this year promises to be Family Day on Saturday, November 7 starting at 10am. There will be screening of Pixar short films, a celebration of the 20th anniversary of The Little Mermaid, and a documentary of Lebron James. The Family Day will also include live performances inside and outside The Paramount on the Downtown Mall and free food provided by Whole Foods.
