Community Counts gives you a chance to help you learn more about the people and the organizations that have a positive impact on our community. This week we feature People and Congregations Engaged in Ministry (PACEM).
Colleen Keller, the Executive Director at PACEM, joined CBS19's Bo Sykes to talk more about the organization. PACEM is a community homeless shelter that opened its doors November 15, 2004.
PACEM operates as a shelter of last resort; through PACEM, local congregations take turns hosting men and women who have nowhere else to sleep at night. Meals are included, and some sites provide access to showers and laundry.
Click on the video tab to watch the entire segment and learn more about PACEM and how it works to help those in need in our community.
