Community Counts gives you a chance to help you learn more about the people and the organizations that have a positive impact on our community. This week we feature Oscar Night America Charlottesville.
Jody Kielbasa, from the Virginia Film Festival, joined CBS19's Bo Sykes to talk more about the event.
The Virginia Film Festival has been officially sanctioned as part of Oscar Night America as one of only 51 charities in the U.S. so designated.
The evening benefits the Virginia Film Festival and the Paramount Theater.
The event will have a red carpet entrance and the evening is hosted by CBS19's Dan Schutte and Tiffani Sargent. The $25 tickets include food tastings from several of Charlottesville’s finest restaurants, beer, wine, soda, popcorn, and an official souvenir program of the Oscars from the Academy.
