In this week’s Community Counts, Angel Sanders with the Salvation Army spoke with CBS19's Bo Sykes.
For those who can’t afford to buy school supplies for their children, the Salvation Army’s back-to-school supply drive is going on right now. The drive benefits families in need in Charlottesville and Albemarle County.
Some of the items in demand include: book bags, pencils, glue, paper, scissors, crayons, loose leaf paper, and 3-ring binders. Checks to the Salvation Army to purchase school supplies are also accepted. All gifts and donations are tax deductible.
The drop off locations include: ACAC, Virginia National Bank, JVA Bookstore, Kmart, PVCC, Walgreens, Sam’s Club, State Farm.
