Community Counts gives you a chance to learn more about the people and the organizations that have a positive impact on our community. This week we feature the 2011 Design House, which is nearing completion.
Cartie Lominack joined CBS19's Bo Sykes to talk more about the house, located at 1687 Mint Springs Road in Crozet.
Open House tours are available from May 7 through May 22. The cost is $20 for one-time admission. All proceeds benefit the Shelter for Help in Emergency.
The Shelter's mission is to end domestic violence in our community. In 2009, its 30th anniversary year, a vision for establishing a major fundraising event to help sustain the Shelter's residential facilities operations and outreach in the greater Charlottesville community was established in the Design House event.
