Community Counts gives you a chance to learn more about the people and the organizations that have a positive impact on our community. This week we feature the University of Virginia Hospital Auxiliary and its Accentuate The Positive benefit event.
Lucille Digges joined CBS19's Bo Sykes to talk more about the special event on Saturday, March 19.
Accentuate The Positive will be hosted by the UVa Hospital Auxiliary and the UVa Cancer Board and held in the new Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center, which is slated to open this spring. The event will include cocktail buffet, wine and live music by the Jeff Decker Band, and Stephanie Nakasian & Hod O'Brien. There will also be a silent auction with a number of incredible items up for bid.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to take a self-guided tour of the new Cancer Center.
Tickets for this event are $150 per person. You can find more information on the UVa Hospital Auxiliary website.
