Community Counts gives you a chance to learn more about the people and the organizations that have a positive impact on our community. This week we feature the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA.
CASPCA Director Susanne Kogut joined CBS19's Bo Sykes to talk more about the shelter, which is celebrating five years as no-kill community. She says only one other shelter in the country can lay claim to the same title.
Kogut credits the community for helping the local SPCA remain a no-kill shelter by fostering, volunteering, adopting and donating.
The CASPCA has adoption events coming up at Fashion Square Mall and PETCO, a golf outing in September and the annual Dancing with the Stars Critter Ball in October. You can find more information on all those events and more on the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA website.
