Community Counts gives you a chance to learn more about the people and the organizations that have a positive impact on our community. This week we feature the Charlottesville Allergy and Respiratory Enterprises and its free asthma screening clinic.
Dr. Arvind Madaan joined CBS19's Bo Sykes to talk more about the program, which takes place Monday, July 18 at the Omni Hotel.
Dr. Madaan says the purpose of the screenings is to test people for asthma who may just think that they are tired or out of shape. Signs of symptoms include:
- shortness of breath
- wheezing or noisy breathing
- trouble getting a breath
- chest tightness
- unusual fatigue
