Community Counts gives you a chance to learn more about the people and the organizations that have a positive impact on our community. This week we feature the 76th running of the Montpelier Hunt Races.
Martha Strawther sat down with CBS19's Bo Sykes to talk more about the races, which take place on Saturday, Nov. 6 in Orange County.
The great day of horse racing starts early in the morning with the Jack Russel Terrier races and continues in the afternoon with steeplechase horse races. Gates open at 9am, the horse races start around 12:30pm and end around 5pm. Plus, there's plenty to do between races, including shopping and tours of James Madison's Montpelier.
Tailgating is encouraged.
Children under age of 12 are free. Everyone else needs a $12 general admission ticket and a $20 parking ticket.
