Community Counts gives you a chance to learn more about the people and the organizations that have a positive impact on our community. This week we feature the PRIDE 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament.
Michael Cary Jr. joined CBS19's Bo Sykes to talk more about the tournament, which takes place Saturday, July 23.
Providing Resources to Inspire, Develop and Empower (PRIDE) is a non-profit group based in Palmyra that aims to provide resources to community residents and their families. The group encourages youth development and family values, promotes health and wellness and supports neighborhood vitality.
The first annual PRIDE 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament raises money for that cause. Teams registered for $24 and admission to watch the games is $2 per person (4 and under free).
The tournament tips off at 1pm on Saturday, July 23 at the Fluvanna County High School gym. For more information, contact Tiffany Thomas at 434-842-3155.
