Community Counts gives you a chance to learn more about the people and the organizations that have a positive impact on our community. This week we feature the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA.
Suzanne Kogut joined CBS19's Bo Sykes to recap the year and talk about some new promotions for the new year.
The CASPCA saw a surge in adoptions leading up to Christmas, setting a new weekly record of 115 adoptions.
Just like hospitals keep track of the first baby born in the new year, the SPCA is keeping track of the first dog and cat adopted in the new year.
