Community Counts gives you a chance to learn more about the people and the organizations that have a positive impact on our community. This week we feature the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation

CBS19's Bo Sykes sat down with John Redick to talk more about the foundation.

The Charlottesville Area Community Foundation is a grant-making organization. The foundation works to enhance the quality of life for people in Charlottesville and the seven surrounding counties.

In 2010, the foundation provided $6.2 million in grants for Charlottesville and its surround areas. The grants went towards programs in all areas including arts, humanities and community development.
