Community Counts gives you a chance to learn more about the people and the organizations that have a positive impact on our community. This week we feature the Virginia Institute of Autism (VIA).
Kate Lambert joined CBS19's Bo Sykes to talk more about the Charlottesville school.
VIA is a non-profit organization providing a day-school and other resources for families, educators and health professionals seeking services, training or information about autism and evidence based interventions.
In addition to a year-round school for children ages two to twenty-two, VIA’s services include a 700-volume library, training workshops, internships for undergraduate and graduate students and teachers, customized training and consulting for schools and home-based programs for young children.
