Parents and parents-to-be could take advantage of one-stop shopping for all baby needs at a birth expo in Charlottesville on Saturday morning.
The Herman Key Recreation Center on Market Street hosted the annual birth expo with the goal of supporting women and birthing in Charlottesville.
The gym transformed into an exhibit hall, with representatives from all aspects of the Charlottesville birthing, parenting and family-health community.
Children were able to play in the "Discovery Zone" while parents got information on birth circles, top Charlottesville pediatricians and more.
"It's really just a community event," said Jen Fleisher, the organizer of the event. "The city helps us host this, and everyone gets together and runs his or her own table, and it is really supported by this community that really cares about birthing and parenting and moms."
Representatives said this event was not just for expecting mothers, but something all members of the family and community could enjoy.
