Showcase Home to Close Sunday; Two Charities to Benefit from Tours

June 8, 2013

Sunday will be the final opportunity for people to tour a new, state-of-the-art home in Albemarle County while helping a few charities in the process.

The last day for tours of the Southern Living Showcase Home in Ivy will be Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It was put together by local contractors and vendors to showcase the best the area has to offer in construction, technology and design.

Proceeds benefit the pediatric cancer charity Alex's Lemonade Stand and Operation Finally Home, an organization that helps wounded and disabled veterans.

The house will open again on Monday for a special designer sale from noon to 4 p.m. All furnishings, accessories and rugs are between 10 percent and 60 percent off.
