Almost everyone has experienced some kind of pain in their shoulder at some point or another. Another common form of pain is within the ankle. Dr. William Grant from Martha Jefferson Hospital came to the studio to explain what doctors like him can do to help.
Sometimes the pains mentioned above are more than just soreness. When surgery is necessary for severe shoulder injuries, smaller 1/4th inch incisions are used to repair the ligaments that are torn without damaging surrounding tissue. The benefit of this type of surgery is that there is less pain, and the rehabilitation afterward can start much earlier than in prior types of surgeries.
