Ladies, can you imagine being fully made-up everyday without having to pull out your compact or searching for a tube of lipstick? For many Charlottesville women, that is reality thanks to the new Micro-Pigmentation procedure.
After a consultation at Ocuplastics and Orbital Consultants, you can find out if you're a candidate for Micro-Pigmentation. In the procedure, doctors use a needle to apply pigment to your skin as an alternative to traditional makeup.
"This provides an enhancement around the eyes. We use it for eye liner enhancement of eyebrows and lips," said Ocularplastic Surgeon, Dr. Sara Kaltreider.
The pigmentation procedure is becoming more and more popular in the Charlottesville community.
"There is a clientele almost anywhere in the United States. There are many women who are over 50 and losing their definition, and individuals who don't have the manual dexterity to put on makeup," said Dr. Kaltreider.
Not only does Micro-Pigmentation benefit aging women, there are also a few advantages for athletes or women on-the-go.
"Ladies that are into sports, the make-up can be very irritating to the eyes, or sweat can blur the make up or smudge the makeup," said Dr. Kaltreider.
Micro-Pigmentation does not last forever, and pigment typically starts fading after a few years. Doctors advise having the semi-permanent makeup touched up from time to time.
So, if you don't mind a few needles, or wearing the same look everyday, Micro-Pigmentation could save you lots of time while enhancing your natural beauty.
