Community Counts gives you a chance to learn more about the people and the organizations that have a positive impact on our community. This week we feature WAHU Stockings.
Janine Williams with the University of Virginia Community Credit Union joined CBS19's Bo Sykes to talk more about the 7th annual event.
Charlottesville Fashion Square, WAHU FOX 27, The Newsplex, the UVA Community Credit Union, Ritchie Law Firm P.L.C., and the Salvation Army are teaming up to sponsor WAHU Stockings for teens ages 13 to 17.
Pick up your empty WAHU stocking at Charlottesville Fashion Square or any UVA Community Credit Union branch and fill it with unwrapped gifts for a teen. Return the filled stocking to the mall or any Credit Union branch by December 14, 2011.
Stocking ideas include – DVDs, video games, gift certificates, movie gift certificates, CDs, MP3 players, disposable cameras, hats/gloves/scarves, health and body care products, and UVA Cavalier souvenirs to name a few suggestions.
