Every Tuesday, Mrs. Moneysaver joins CBS19's Jim Hanchett to share some of the top shopping deals in the Charlottesville area. This week she features the Chick-fil-A Spicy Chicken Sandwich and free museum visits for active duty military.

Chick-fil-A is rolling out a new spicy chicken sandwich on June 7, but they want to give customers the chance to try it for free first. In order to get your free sandwich, visit www.getspicychicken.com and make a reservation for the day you’d like to pick up your free sandwich, beginning May 31st.

The reservation spots at the Woodbrook location have filled up already, but the Fashion Square Mall location still has about 500 free sandwiches available (as of Tuesday afternoon). Reservations are sure to fill up quickly, so if you’d like a free sandwich, you’ll need to sign up for this offer soon.

Memorial Day will soon be here, and if you’re active duty military, many companies and organizations want to take the time to honor your service. The Blue Star Museums Initiative is one such organization that wants to give back. The Blue Star Museums Initiative is making it possible for active duty military, including the Reserves and National Guard, and their families to visit over 600 museums nationwide free of charge this summer between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Over 40 Virginia museums are participating, including the Discovery Museum in Charlottesville, Colonial Williamsburg, and the Frontier Culture Museum in Staunton. There’s no limit on how many museums each person or family can visit during the summer months. Military ID is required at each museum to receive the free admission.
