This week's featured blog may be of special interest to anyone who has a new baby in their life. Charlottesville resident Whitney Morrill is the creative mind behind The Coconut Girl.

The Coconut Girl is about Morrill's experiences as a new mother, and it offers a mix of humor and insight into the ups and downs of parenthood. The blog is also a little bit on the wacky side, for example, finding the artistic side of overflowing toilets.

"I decided to start a blog because I'm an architect and a writer, but I 'm kind of a shotgun creative. I love to do music and I love to do video and take pictures, so it's really nice chance to be able to post any kind of media that I come up with quickly," said Morrill.
