In this week's segment of Cville Plugged In, Amy Eastlack, of SuzySaidCville, joined CBS19's Jim Hanchett to talk about the changes that Facebook has seen in the past weeks.

As usual, just when you think you've got social media all figured out, something new comes along. Facebook has undergone major changes in the last couple weeks. Here are three pretty major changes that we can help simplify a little:

1) Timeline

Your profile is now "Timeline," that will feature memorable photos, events, and connections you've made since you joined Facebook.

2) Privacy

Improved Profile and Posting Privacy Settings - In the past you had to navigate through your settings tab. Now, everything that you want to post--your hometown, your occupation, relationship status--has a drop-down menu next to it where you can
delineate who you want seeing it. The same goes for posts and status updates. When you post something on your wall, you can use the pull-down menu to pick and choose who sees it.

Photo Tag Approval - Now, you actually have the ability to accept OR reject any questionable photos.

3) News

Although Facebook picks your top stories based on an algorithm that takes into account most viewed and commented posts, you choose what's in your feed. So hide, block, and create useful lists to help organize what you want to read.

This article certainly is late. This information is old, why wasn't it reported last month when everyone else in the media reported on it? Thanks for wasting my time to read an article widely reported last month.
