The documentary The Parking Lot Movie, exclusively about the Corner parking lot in Charlottesville, is now hitting the big screen in the Big Apple.
The documentary is all about the lot directly behind Trinity Restaurant and the Finch Store on the University of Virginia Corner. It features the parking lot's attendants and the antics they've experienced, but also goes beyond the nuts and bolts of working and parking in the lot.
The film was directed by UVa graduate Meghan Eckman, and it's getting rave reviews. The New York Times called the documentary "perfect" and "quirky".
The film premiered at The Paramount Theater on the Downtown Mall in March, and opened in Brooklyn Friday night.
