She has more followers on Twitter than the President himself and her concerts sell out the world over. Lady Gaga is one of the biggest recording artists around and she's known for her fashion statements as much as for her music.
Blond bangs, boas and bedazzled glasses are all staples of a Lady Gaga wardrobe. Her fans, who she affectionately calls her "Little Monsters", love to pay homage to their idol's unique style. And if imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, expect to see swarms of Lady Gaga look-a-likes descend upon the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville Wednesday night.
At The Party Starts Here store, select items have been flying off the shelves as fans prepare for their favorite pop artist to arrive in Charlottesville. Manager Ray Feola says blond wigs, specialty sunglasses and fishnet tights have been popular items over the past few days.
And with a little help from feathers and glitter, anyone can go Gaga.
"I've had anywhere from young kids to older women come in, and I'd say even women in their 50s coming in. They're real excited about it. People are going crazy over this," said Feola.
Lady Gaga's musical, theatrical and fashion-forward Monster Ball Tour comes to Charlottesville Wednesday night at 8pm. Live Nation announced Tuesday the release of additional $50 tickets. You can purchase them online by visiting the Live Nation website.
