(AP) - Christian Bale is staying mum on allegations of assault at a premiere in Barcelona.
The star of "The Dark Knight" appeared calm as a 15-car motorcade swept Bale and his co-stars to the glittering, red-carpet event.
Bale is accused of assaulting his mother and one of his three sisters at London hotel over the weekend. He did not speak to reporters and made no comment about the incident.
The 34-year-old star was greeted by hundreds of fans thronging the red carpet outside the Mediterranean city's Coliseum Theater. He spent a half hour signing autographs before entering the theater, where hundreds more waited to see the film.
Bale denies there was an assault and was not charged after speaking with police.
