  Australian pop diva Kylie Minogue has been made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire, or OBE, in Queen Elizabeth II's New Year's Honors list.

  Charity doesn't begin at home, evidently. Hotel magnate Barron Hilton, the 80-year-old grandfather of Paris Hilton, will give $2.3 billion, the bulk of his fortune, to charity.

  The Amazing Kreskin doesn't usually predict elections but the mentalist says the name of the next president has come to him. The prediction's been locked in a box and given to a New York bar owner for safekeeping until the polls close in 2008.
• Pop Culture's Movers And Shakers
  Radar Magazine held its first annual "New Radicals" Gala reception and silent auction to benefit the International Fund For Animal Welfare. The event was held at The New Museum in New York.
