From the workroom to the runway, a local fabric store is looking for designers.
Contestants will put their sewing machines to the test this week. Les Fabriques is hosting a series of challenges.
The first involves taking cast-off bits of clothing and making something totally new and unique. The next involves making a reversible garment.
The final challenge is to make a retro Hollywood garment.
The owner of Les Fabriques said shows like Project Runway are inspiring a new generation of future designers to take lessons.
Contestants will shoo off their work in a September fashion show. The prize is the same sewing machines used in Project Runway
