A new exhibit displays how local organization are hoping to improve Charlottesville.
In a competition by the Charlottesville Community Design Center and the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, local nonprofits were given the challenge to create a poster demonstrating the changes they'd like to make to improve the city.
More than 50 organizations responded, but only 12 designs were selected to be showcased at Cityspace.
"We wanted to humanize alternative ways to travel to work by making it easy to walk or bike to work," said Vince Caristo, executive director of the Alliance for Community Choice in Transportation.
A reception was held at Cityspace on Friday.
