Celebrity make-up artist Lori Neapolitan is in Charlottesville for the Simple Beauty event. Simple Beauty is a two-day community educational event that features demonstrations, workshops and private consultations.

Lori Neapolitan has done make up for many celebrities like Jessica Alba, Meryl Streep and Oprah Winfrey. Neapolitian says it is important that all women know how to show themselves in the best light.

"No matter what, if it's a wedding or TV appearance or a celebrity or Mrs. Smith who just needs to learn how to look better because she's retired and she's 60 and she feels like she just has not had time. It's really bringing in that help and confidence level all women need and it's not intimidating it's fun," said Neapolitan.

The Simple Beauty event is May 8 and is being held at the Double Tree Hotel in Charlottesville. The event begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. Tickets for the event cost $100. Private consultations with Neapolitian on May 9 have been sold out.
