The second annual Misty Mountain Music Festival takes place this weekend. There, you can enjoy some of the areas best folk, bluegrass, country and rock.
One of the festival's acts stopped by our studios Thursday to give us a preview.
"We love festivals," said festival coordinator and member of the band 'Yankee Dixie,' John Howard. "It's a great place to showcase your music to a lot of different people who would have never come out to see you anywhere else so this is a good thing. It's a family oriented festival so we get a broad range of people from the youngsters to the older folks."
The festival aims to entertain local and regional fans while giving back to the community through charitable donations. 'Yankee Dixie' and many more local talents will play at the 2nd annual Misty Mountain Music Festival. It's this Friday and Saturday at the Misty Mountain Camp Resort in Greenwood. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate. Kids 6 and under are free.
