Local artists Mariana Bell visited the Newsplex and gave an in studio performance Wednesday.

Bell’s music blends rock, pop and alternative country into her acoustic-folk driven songs.

The Charlottesville native does a lot of traveling since she is on tour. But she says she is always happy when her career brings her home.

“It's stunning and it feels like home. And I’m very lucky that I get to come back and see friends and get to perform too,” said Bell.

Bell will be performing along with a host of local talents at the Mountain Cove Music Festival which is being held at Mountain Cove Vineyards, Saturday, September 29. The music starts at 10 am and continues until dark. Tickets for the event are $20.00 in advance and $30.00 at the gate.
