CBS19's Tara Wheeler visited Men's Wearhouse in Albemarle County to see if there are ways to beat the heat without sacrificing dressy style.
Vincent Barbatti, the Assistant Manager at Men's Wearhouse says a sear sucker suit is a classic outfit to wear during the summer.
"It's cool, gives you a lot of room for air to circulate and gives you a classic look especially here in the south," said Barbatti.
Barbatti also suggest a tropical weight wool suit, he says you can wear it to work with a shirt and tie or with a t-shirt or polo and jeans for a more casual look. The grey color also lasts through fall and winter whereas a tan suit is only fashionable in the summer.
From June 28 until July 31 Men's Wearhouse stores across the country are accepting donations of professional work clothes for men and women. The goal is to gather 110 thousand items nation-wide.
If you bring in a donation of gently used professional attire, not only will you get a coupon for 50 percent off of just about anything at Men's Wearhouse.
The clothes donated here in Charlottesville will go to charities in the area.
